No. 2 Vanderbilt Bowling finished fourth at the MidWinter Classic in Jonesboro, Arkansas, from Feb. 14-16. Despite a strong opening two days to the Arkansas State-hosted tournament, the Commodores fell flat in bracket play with a string of three losses on the final day. “Each day of the tournament plays a little different,” head coach John Williamson said. “I feel like the fact that it was a little different isn’t necessarily new.

After getting blown out 87-59 in their first matchup three weeks ago, No. 23 Vanderbilt (18-5) fell once again to Ole Miss (15-6) — this time by a score of x-x. The Commodores were unable to get anything going offensively in the first half, as they entered halftime with a mere 21 points. To put that in context, Vanderbilt scored fewer points in the first half this game than Mikayla Blakes on her own did in the first half last game against Florida.

The Commodores took home their first top prize of the season in a hard-fought trip to Arlington, Texas. 2 minutes ago Triumphing in a loaded field of 10 top-25 teams, No. 1 Vanderbilt Bowling was crowned the champion of the 2025 Prairie View A&M Invitational. The victory marks the first time in the 2024-2025 season the Commodores have taken home a tournament’s top prize.
