    Vanderbilt Women’s Basketball is back in the Big Dance for the second year in a row, and this time with loftier expectations. Head coach Shea Ralph and Co., after posting a 22-10 (8-8 SEC) record, captured the No. 7 seed in the Birmingham Region of the NCAA Tournament. They will face No. 10 Oregon in Durham, North Carolina, on March 21 at 4:30 p.m. CDT with a spot in the Round of 32 on the line.

    Five inches of snow did not stop the Vanderbilt Track and Field team from opening its season in record-setting fashion. Competing at home in the 2025 Commodore Challenge, the Black and Gold achieved seven personal bests as nine new names debuted on the school’s list of top 10 all-time indoor performances. Fourth-year director of cross country and track and field Althea Thomas bolstered the Black and Gold’s roster with 16 new athletes before the season began.

    Jesse Mirco was thrilled as the horns sounded across West End and the goalpost came down after the Commodores’ upset of Alabama on Oct. 5. He wasn’t surprised, though. He knew it was only a matter of time until Vanderbilt would shake the notion that FirstBank Stadium was the perennial stomping ground of the SEC. But something more personal hit home for him when he took in his surroundings after the victory: He made the right decision in coming to Vanderbilt.

    The Vanderbilt Men’s Tennis team’s season ended after the Commodores came up short at the ITA South Sectional Championships. 1 minute ago Vanderbilt Men’s Tennis’ season concluded at the ITA South Sectional Championship in Tallahassee from Nov. 7-10. The only Commodores to qualify for the tournament were sophomores Danil Panarin and Hugo Coquelin. Panarin competed for the first time since Sept. 25, hoping to avenge his early exit from the ITA All-American Championship.

    The 2023-24 season was filled with brilliance, as Vanderbilt Women’s Basketball made its first NCAA tournament appearance since 2014. While Baylor cut the team’s postseason run short, the Commodores will look to capitalize on their momentum from last year during the 2024-25 season.
