The Wond’ry, Vanderbilt’s Center for Innovation, will move into the School of Engineering in the 2025-26 school year. As a result of this move, 10 staff members lost their positions. The Wond’ry opened its doors in 2016 with the goal of becoming a cross-disciplinary home for innovation. Over the past nine years, the Wond’ry has offered makerspaces with 3D printing, laser cutting and electrical tools, a fiber arts lab for fabrics and virtual reality and advanced technology labs.

In an April 28 email to alumni, Vanderbilt University Information Technology announced that Vanderbilt University is discontinuing alumni services in Google Workspace. In addition, in an April 24 email to current students, VUIT announced that the migration of undergraduate email services from Google to Microsoft will begin on May 14, 2025. Alumni email servicesOn August 22, 2025, Vanderbilt Alumni will no longer have access to their Google Workspace accounts.

The American Association of Colleges and Universities recently penned a letter calling for “constructive engagement” in protest of federal overreach into higher education. Vanderbilt, a member of the AAC&U, was notably absent from the letter’s over 500 signees — among whom were the leaders of 12 of U.S News’ top 20 American universities.

Stephen Day views music as an unmatched transfer of energy and an album tour as the completion of an idea. Having just wrapped his “Gold Mine” tour, Day feels fulfilled. “It’s a very complete feeling to make a record that feels very much your own, and then realize that it’s become a part of other people’s lives in a way that you might not have imagined,” Day said.

Vanderbilt Women’s Basketball has landed its first transfer of the offseason, with former LSU backup center Aalyah Del Rosario announcing her commitment to Vanderbilt via Instagram on April 21. Del Rosario, standing at 6’6, brings some much-needed size to the Commodores’ front court.
