Vanderbilt Women’s Basketball (22-10, 8-8) fell to the Oregon Ducks on March 21 in the Round of 64 of the NCAA Tournament with a final score of 77-73. The Commodores struggled offensively throughout this game. They were ice cold from the field — only shooting 37.3% from the field as a team and 2-14 from behind the arc. Mikayla Blakes and Khamil Pierre scored 26 and 17 respectively, but Iyana Moore only added six points (one field goal).

Special Olympics Tennessee, partnered with Vanderbilt, announced their bid to host the 2030 Special Olympics USA Games on Feb.17. The press event, held in the McGugin Center, featured speakers, Special Olympics executives and athletes. If awarded, Nashville would welcome an estimated 4,500 Special Olympics athletes from across the U.S. to compete in 17 sports, from corn hole and competitive cheer to basketball and bowling.
