The Big E announced that another band that will join its 2025 fair lineup on Tuesday. The Avett Brothers, a folk rock band from North Carolina, will perform at the fair on Saturday, Sept. 20. Headline performer Foreigner will take the stage at the fair on Sunday, Sept. 21, and rock band ZZ Top will perform at The Big E on Sunday, Sept. 28. Brothers Scott and Seth Avett were raised in Concord, North Carolina, and started their band after graduating college, according to the band's website.

Bravo announced its slate of new and returning shows on Wednesday, including a new series in its " Real Housewives" franchise. The TV network has officially greenlit " The Real Housewives of Rhode Island," according to an announcement on Bravo's website. SoLA Karaoke, a karaoke bar with private rooms, is officially open in Southington after holding a soft opening on May 3. The karaoke spot features nine private karaoke suites, in addition to a bar and lounge for open karaoke. SoLA Karaoke is owned by Allison and Dipo Oseni, who met in Los Angeles while Dipo Oseni was pursuing a career in screenwriting and Allison Oseni, a Cheshire native, was a hairstylist.
