The Conservative Party has suffered one its worst election results of all time, with the party losing more than 200 seats in a catastrophic night for the Tories. One of the many Tory MPs to lose their seat overnight was Lincoln's Karl McCartney, who fell to a significant defeat against Labour's Hamish Falconer. In fact, Labour won with almost double the votes that the Conservative Party earned in Lincoln, with Reform UK taking a major part of the Tory vote share in the city.

Two men have been charged following a spate of crimes in a Lincolnshire town. Joshua Lawrence-West, 22, of no fixed address, has been charged with three burglaries of homes in Holbeach. The alleged offences took place at Mill Bank, on July 1, Branches Lane, on June 25, and Church Street on June 4 -the same date and location of the alleged theft of a motor vehicle taken following this burglary.

B&M is set to move to a bigger location in a Lincolnshire town, creating 25 new jobs. The discount retailer is moving from it's current spot in Gainsborough to a "bigger and better" location in Marshalls Yard. The announcement comes after shoppers requested a bigger store in the town, B&M said. It will be moving to the building that used to be occupied by Wilko's The current Gainsborough store, on Lord Street, will close on July 17.
