(Newton, IA) -- Iowa Speedway's IndyCar Race Weekend has a new title sponsor. Sukup Manufacturing is taking over the spot once held by Hy-Vee, who announced in February they would be dropping their title sponsorship. The NTT IndyCar Series is scheduled to race at Iowa Speedway July 12th and 13th.

Photo: WQAD News 8(Davenport, IA) -- The owner of a Davenport apartment building that partially collapsed nearly two years ago killing three men and leaving dozens homeless will not face criminal charges. Scott County Attorney Kelly Cunningham says the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation found no evidence that would warrant charges. She says Andrew Wold hadn't owned the 120 year-old building for very long at the time of the collapse, and that he hadn't neglected its condition.

"We have 63 of our soldiers and airmen in Washington D.C. on a federal status providing support to the presidential inauguration, as we typically do," Osborn says. Donald Trump will be sworn in at 11 a.m. central time on Monday.

Ray Sorenson (R-Adair County), is proposed after a shark attack at Blue Zoo in West Des Moines last year. That happened when a zookeeper was trying to care for a shark, and it latched onto them. Today, a subcommittee of the House's Public Safety Committee met to discuss the bill.

Major General Stephen Osborn delivers the 2025 Condition of the Guard address. (Des Moines, IA) -- In the annual Condition of the Guard address, Major General Stephen Osborn reported on the health of the Iowa National Guard on Thursday. "The Iowa National Guard ended fiscal year '24 with a 99.5% assign strength," Osborn says. "And an 83% retention rate. One of the highest in the nation."He says they also added enough new members to continue moving forward.
