On Thursday, around 7:05 p.m., Woodbury police said they responded to an undisclosed incident at Tokyo Spa.

PEARL RIVER, NY — A woman entrusted to help care for a senior citizen, instead abused and extorted the elderly man in her charge, according to prosecutors. Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh, II announced on Friday that 60-year-old Delores Anderson, of the Bronx, was convicted after a one-week jury trial of five counts of felony second-degree grand larceny. Sentencing is scheduled for August 27.

YORKTOWN, NY — A high school game is causing concerns for students' safety as police hunt for masked suspects in a home break-in. The Yorktown Police Department says that on Thursday, between 7-7:30 p.m., three masked suspects forcibly and illegally entered a home on Briar Hill Street. The masked suspect in a photo circulated by Yorktown police remained at the front door, while the other two suspects forced entry into the unoccupied home from the back, police said.

KATONAH, NY — The Westchester County Department of Health has issued a Rabies Alert after a family pet died recently. The indoor/outdoor cat in Katonah died on Wednesday, and later tested positive for rabies. The infected feline was a white tabby of average size, according to health officials. "If you, a family member, or your pet may have had any contact with this cat, immediately call the Westchester County Department of Health at (914) 813-5000," health department officials urged.
