The Record (Bergen County)

The Record, often referred to as The Bergen Record or The Record of Hackensack, is a newspaper located in northern New Jersey. It primarily caters to the residents of Bergen County, but it also provides coverage for Hudson, Essex, and Passaic counties. With the second highest circulation among daily newspapers in New Jersey, it trails only behind The Star-Ledger. Established in 1895 and under the ownership of the Borg family since 1930, it serves as the main publication for the North Jersey Media Group. The publisher of The Record is Stephen A. Borg, and the editing is led by Martin Gottlieb.

    The U.S. Army is making changes to their physical fitness requirements for all soldiers, introducing new gender-neutral standards while eliminating one of its most criticized events. On Monday, the Army announced the redesigned Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) for soldiers in combat roles, which will officially replace the Army Fitness Test (AFT), seeking to "enhance solider fitness, improve warfighting readiness and increase the lethality of the force," according to a release on the Army website.
