LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers have donated $1 million to assist families impacted by two weeks of immigration raids in Southern California. The defending World Series champion Dodgers also said Friday that they intend to form partnerships with the California Community Foundation, the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor and other organization to continue providing aid to immigrant families.

NEW YORK -- Baltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman was scratched shortly before Friday's game against the New York Yankees because of left abdominal tightness. Rutschman was slated to serve as the designated hitter and bat second before getting removed from the lineup about 20 minutes before the opener of a three-game series. Jackson Holliday replaced Rutschman as the DH and batted leadoff. Jordan Westburg moved from the leadoff spot to second in Baltimore's revised lineup.

CHICAGO -- Cal Raleigh broke Johnny Bench's record for home runs by a catcher before the All-Star break, hitting his major-league-leading 28th and 29th in the Seattle Mariners' 9-4 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Friday. Raleigh broke a tie in the seventh with No. 29 to move ahead of Hall of Famer Bench's 1970 mark. It was Raleigh's fifth go-ahead home run in the seventh inning or later this season, the most in MLB.
