    LIV Golf is in Virginia this week for a final tune-up before several of its players compete in next week's U.S. Open at Oakmont. This week's LIV event is offering its customary $25 million purse, with $4 million to the individual winner and $5 million set aside for the team event. Bryson DeChambeau headlines this week's field as he prepares to defend his U.S. Open title next week. A total of 13 LIV golfers are set to tee off at Oakmont next week.

    The PGA Tour makes its annual stop in Canada this week. It's offering a $9.8 million purse, with the winner taking home $1.764 million. Second-ranked Rory McIlroy headlined the field. He started his week by addressing his lack of media availability after word leaked that he had to replace a non-conforming driver ahead of last month's PGA Championship. McIlroy remained the heavy betting favorite entering the week.

    The biggest cash prize in women's golf is on the line Sunday at the 2025 U.S. Women's Open. It's offering a $12 million purse, with $2.4 million to the winner. Maja Stark of Sweden takes a one-shot lead into the final round, where she'll look to close out her first major title. Twenty-two-year-old Julia Lopez Ramirez of Spain is one back and will plays alongside Stark. Top-ranked Nelly Korda is the low American through three rounds and enters Sunday three shots off the lead.
