The Ravens' 11 picks in the 2025 draft are tied with the San Francisco 49ers for the most in the NFL. Yet, only three of Baltimore's selections are within the first 125 picks, compared to five for the 49ers. The Ravens have one selection in each of the first three rounds, two in the fourth, one in the fifth, four in the sixth and one in the seventh. That's plenty of draft capital for general manager Eric DeCosta, who is always a threat to trade back in certain rounds to accrue more picks.

The line of demarcation for evaluating previous Baltimore Ravens drafts is typically 2019. That was Eric DeCosta's first year as general manager after serving for many seasons as Ozzie Newsome's longtime lieutenant. Of course, that's not entirely fair for either Newsome, who led Baltimore's front office from 1996 to 2018 and is now the team's executive vice president, or DeCosta.

Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh would still like to add a few offensive linemen, but he's comfortable that they already have the makings of a strong starting five in-house. That's an understandable stance with four starting offensive linemen returning and Andrew Vorhees, who began last season as a starter, also back.

One of best co-workers I've ever had and one of best people I've ever met in this business. All the best, my friend.

Today is my last at the Baltimore Sun after 24 years. Thanks to every colleague, editor, source and reader who made it fun and hard and helped me get better. It hurt to watch a great civic institution crumble, but I got to do the work I wanted for the paper I grew up reading.

With only 3 of their 11 picks coming within first 125 of draft, the Ravens won’t be able to add an immediate starting candidate at every position that could use one. So what positions needn’t be priorities? Using The Beast to determine where they can wait. https://t.co/0IcEsi9lJY
