A body recovered from the River Dee is believed to be that of Henrietta Huszti. Police were called to an area near Queen Elizabeth Bridge in Aberdeen just before 8am on Friday January 31. Whilst the body has yet to be formally identified, officers say they have informed the family of 32-year-old Henrietta Huszti. Her sister Eliza remains missing. Superintendent David Howieson said: “Our thoughts are with the Huszti family today.

Forres chef Lorna McNee has joined the judging panel for the Great British Menu, six years after winning the series. The former Moray College student has replaced restaurateur Nisha Katona for the 20th series of the BBC Two show, which sees top chefs from various regions compete to produce a menu around a specific theme. This year’s theme, Great Britons, will see the chefs draw inspiration from notable people from their area and each episode will feature a guest judge.

Melville Knox plans to open its fourth independent fee-paying Scottish primary in the town. A public meeting will be held in the town’s Free Church today, where attendees will be told of the church’s unique vision.

Military planes will be taking to the skies across the north, north-east and Outer Hebrides from Sunday as part of NATO war games. RAF Lossiemouth and Stornoway Airport will be used as part of Exercise Joint Warrior, which starts on October 22 and runs until November 2. Up to 20 aircraft, 19 warships and submarines and 2,000 personnel from 10 countries will descend on Scotland to train together in a ‘safe but realistic environment’.
