    Papa Cristo’s, a cherished Greek restaurant in Los Angeles, closed its doors on Sunday after 77 years in business. The Pico-Union institution, which has been serving gourmet Greek cuisine since 1948, announced its closure in early April, prompting an outpouring of support from the community. Customers lined up around the block on Sunday to enjoy their final meals at the restaurant.     Worshippers are giving thanks across Southern California this Easter Sunday, and many locals are focusing on healing in the wake of the devastating January wildfires.  The annual Easter Sunrise Service at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park in Westlake Village wrapped up around 7 a.m., and parishioners there dedicated time to supporting the Pacific Palisades community after the Palisades Fire ravaged homes and led to a dozen deaths.

    A group of suspected squatters are being accused of taking over an RV storage lot in the City of Industry despite efforts to evict them. Sky5 showed several RVs with the roofs torn out and garbage piled up throughout the lot Tuesday morning. The Blackseries RVs are being stored on a fenced-off portion of the property but people began moving into them over the past two years, with the situation getting completely out of control since December, according to some who work in the area.

    Hundreds of Los Angeles fire victims received some heavy, cuddly, and lifesaving mental health support on Monday from a cuddly cub. These specialty therapeutic teddy bears are called “Comfort Cubs” and they were donated to every person in need coming through the L.A. Dream Center specifically for the fire survivors. “The Comfort Cub” is a Southern California nonprofit. The cubs are specifically designed to help heal “broken heart syndrome” in adults, which can be deadly.

    Sebastian Daniel Guerra fought for months battling a rare brain tumor, but sadly passed away last week surrounded by his family. He was just 11-years-old. “My beautiful son Sebastian was one of a kind. He loved life and had so many dreams,” said his mother Katie Mosier.
