    An illegal "pop-up party" was shut down Saturday night, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department. Officials said Louisville Metro Alcohol & Beverage Control requested assistance to shut down a party in the 1300 block of River Road, near the Big Four Bridge, around 11:30 p.m.When officers arrived at the scene, they found hundreds of people gathered in a parking lot. Police shut down the party, but the crowd then dispersed to other parking lots nearby.

    Hundreds of runners and walkers laced up their shoes Sunday morning for the fourth annual Louisville Pride 5K. The race began and ended at the Iroquois Amphitheater, drawing people of all ages and athletic abilities. Most participants walked away with a Pride 5K reversible bucket hat, and all of them received a finisher's medal. Organizers said events like these are all about the community.
