    Kentucky Shakespeare brought live theater to two Louisville parks on Sunday. The group performed Macbeth at both Broad Run Park in the Parklands of Floyds Fork and Robinson Park in Lyndon. The performances are part of the organization's Shakespeare in the Parks tour, which brings free, professional productions to parks across the area. Attendees were encouraged to grab a lawn chair and enjoy the outdoor show.

    Historic Locust Grove welcomed visitors over the weekend for its 30th annual Gardeners' Fair.The event featured dozens of regional vendors selling plants, flowers, tools and other garden-related items.For a small admission fee, guests also had the chance to attend interactive workshops, watch live performances, and more.The fair also included a bake sale, food and appearances by animals such as alpacas.Each year, the event typically draws in attendees from across the region.

MORE THAN 50 LOCAL VENDORS WERE SELLING PLANTS, PERFUMES, AND PAINTED GOODS AT THE MOTHER’S DAY CRAFT MARKET, AND AFTER A BIT OF SHOPPING WITH MOM, LOTS OF OPTIONS FOR FOOD AT THE CAFE OR VILLAGE MARKET. THAT’S REALLY FUN. I’VE ALREADY BOUGHT A PAIR OF EARRINGS. WE ALL LIKE DOING THIS KIND OF STUFF.

    The Kentucky Humane Society and Louisville Metro Animal Services teamed up for the third annual Hammer's Lou Adopts event Saturday afternoon. Hundreds of people came out to the mega adoption event at the Kentucky Expo Center. The event aimed to give potential owners a one-stop shop way of adopting their new furry friend. All of the dogs were already spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations.
