    PERRY COUNTY, Indiana — Two people, including a 27-year-old mother, were arrested in southern Indiana Sunday evening and charged with dealing marijuana and neglecting children. At about 7 p.m., Indiana State Police - Jasper District Trooper Andrew Recker performed a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle on I-64 in Perry County, according to an ISP news release.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Multiple lanes on I-65 South near Muhammad Ali Boulevard are closed Monday afternoon in downtown Louisville. At about 12:15 p.m., crews closed the left two lanes and began what TRIMARC officials are calling "freeway maintenance" on the roadway. TRIMARC cameras show what appears to be a large gash spanning the width of the interstate. As of 1:30 p.m., the right-most lane remains open on I-65 South. TRIMAC officials estimate the roadwork will take about 3 hours.

    SCOTT COUNTY, Indiana — A southern Indiana family is extremely grateful after an officer used an anti-choking device to save their young child the day after Thanksgiving. On Friday, Nov. 29, Scott County Sheriff's Office received a distress call from two parents who said their two-year-old son was not breathing. Deputy Kyle West was the first to arrive on scene. He found the parents performing "back slaps and stomach thrusts" on their toddler at the end of the driveway, to no avail.

    LEITCHFIELD, Ky. — A small Kentucky city just got a new driver's license office. The Driver Licensing Regional Office is now open at 1903 W. Elizabethtown Road in Leitchfield, just over an hour southwest of Louisville. They will operate there until a permanent site is established. This is the Kentucky Transportation Department's (KYTC) 34th regional license office and the sixth regional office to open in the last two years.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An infant died in the hospital Thursday morning after police were called during a medical emergency. Just after midnight, Louisville Metro police responded to a call of a 7-day-old baby girl who was unconscious and not breathing, according to an LMPD news release. Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Magazine Street. The infant was escorted to Norton Children's Hospital where she later died.
