    Family, friends, and those who trusted News 9’s Gary England gathered on Friday for his celebration of life service held at Crossings Community Church in northwest Oklahoma City. Guests were greeted with a visual tribute to England as they entered the church. The mural was put together by students and staff from the University of Oklahoma’s Gaylord College of Journalism. They gathered hundreds of social media posts from the public and England’s colleagues.

    A son is speaking up after witnessing four Oklahoma City rookie officers shoot and kill his father Monday morning. The son called police for help, reporting his father was attempting suicide. Korey Johnson is adamant his father, 41-year-old Eddie Hill, did not have a knife or weapon in his hands. Johnson claimed police started shooting only seconds after his father ran out of their southwest Oklahoma City home. An already tense situation.

    A mental health call to police turned deadly on Monday for a southwest Oklahoma City man. Police opened fire on the man when they said he charged at officers armed with a large knife. Neighbors believed the man died at the scene, but police reported the suspect was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and died shortly after arriving. The man’s name has not been released. The sound of gunshots filled a neighborhood around 5:30 a.m. near Southwest 15th Street and Portland Avenue.

    A fight between siblings turned deadly on Thursday in southeast Oklahoma City. Police said a teenager died but no one has been arrested. Police identified the victim as 13-year-old Immanuel Taylor and said he died from stab wounds to the chest. Police were called at 10:51 p.m. to investigate a domestic disturbance at a home near southeast 44th street and Sunnylane Road. Officers were told a fight broke out between Taylor and his teenage sibling.
