CATASAUQUA, Pa. — After community outcry, Catasauqua Area School Board on Tuesday tabled a resolution to end the Rough Riders’ annual Thanksgiving Day football game against the Northampton Area Konkrete Kids. The board said it will vote on whether to end the 101-year-old tradition at its next board meeting, May 6. The topic first was discussed publicly at a special board meeting last week.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Harrison-Morton Middle School students will return to their 151-year-old building on Monday, Allentown School District announced. That’s after at least one pipe burst in mid-February, causing extensive flooding that moved learning out of the building for the past seven weeks. Students learned virtually for eight days before being dispersed to temporary school sites throughout the city to learn in person.

But first the Canary needs to make it to the Elite 8 of the NCAA Tournament-style bracket. ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Incarcerated people inevitably look forward to their release date, but the transition afterward isn’t always easy. “I personally had a great support system, and it was still hard for me,” said Adam Petyo, a Muhlenberg College research assistant and student in the school’s Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program. Petyo, who spent a year in the Lehigh County Jail, spoke on a panel Friday at Muhlenberg on the current landscape of higher education in correctional facilities.
