Any Rose Wilson, 27, died after a crash involving the vehicle she was driving and another car on New Carron Road on July 29, 2023. Anthony Davidson, 32, Andrew Gregoire, 29, and Arslan Sajid, 24, all from London, were found guilty at the High Court in Edinburgh today (Thursday), April 17.

Across the district, cherry blossom trees have been blooming with their beautiful pink flowers making an eye-catching spectacle. In Japan, it is customary to hold feasts or parties under cherry blossom trees but in Scotland we prefer to just enjoy the beautiful view. The most likely time to reach peak bloom is between the last week of March and the first week of April, although climate change is definitely having an impact.

Staff from IBT Buildng and Timber (Merchants) Ltd of Grangemouth will be taking on the Scurry Around The Helix 10K on Saturday, April 26. They aim to fundraise a minimum of £1000 to support the Rotary Club of Grangemouth to upgrade their Santa Sleigh.

Thomas Rodger, 27, stopped breathing while family members were taking him to Forth Valley Royal Hospital on Christmas Day 2020. He had called NHS 24 on several occasions earlier that day. Mr Rodger was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
