LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury has denied an alcohol permit to a Lake Street business after numerous complaints regarding noise, traffic, and even gunfire. Caddyshack Icehouse celebrated its grand opening in June 2024. Pairing food and drink with golf, the business promotes a “family-friendly experience” on its website. As a restaurant, Caddyshack was granted a liquor license through the proper channels to operate at 7795 Lake St. before opening.

One of the presenters was a Charging Indians alum, Lodric Collins. Now an actor, Collins returned to Washington-Marion today to hand out the first-ever scholarships from his Collins Cares Foundation.
