Submitted by Jamie Ratliff, Eversource Energy(April 11, 2025) — As part of ongoing upgrades to strengthen the electric system and improve reliability for customers, Eversource is using a helicopter (yellow helicopter– tail #N5072F) to replace the existing line at the top of transmission towers with a more advanced fiber optic communication wire. The new line will be installed in parts of Haddam and East Haddam and will allow Eversource to enhance communications between its electrical substations.

Submitted by Reagan Aronson(April 11, 2025) — Mr. HK, Haddam Killingworth High School’s annual talent showcase, made its return to the high school auditorium on March 13, 2025, featuring six talented contestants. Competing for the title were seniors Joey Jacobs and Will Lirot, juniors Jeffrey Schull and Zachary Goldfarb, sophomore Paul Birkmeyer, and freshman Nick Stegman.

The program will be held at the Killingworth Library Conference Room on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. The program will be presented by Don Phillips, an attorney at the Connecticut Statewide Legal Services Pro Bono Clinic.
