As of 12:35 p.m. Tuesday, tournament officials officially suspended play due to inclement weather, sending players off the course and spectators scrambling for cover. Fans, who were not allowed on the grounds during Monday’s opening round due to safety concerns, had returned Tuesday, only to be ushered out shortly after midday.

And even in just a few days working with the JR Motorsports crew, Larson leaned on his racing chops, surviving an ugly, messy race that had 11 cautions in it, outlasting Taylor Green in overtime to capture his second Xfinity Series win of the season and 17th of his career.
