CHARLOTTE (CAROLINA SPORTS LIVE) — For the second day in a row, Mother Nature is proving to be the toughest competitor at the PGA Championship. As of 12:35 p.m. Tuesday, tournament officials officially suspended play due to inclement weather, sending players off the course and spectators scrambling for cover. Fans, who were not allowed on the grounds during Monday’s opening round due to safety concerns, had returned Tuesday, only to be ushered out shortly after midday.

(QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Leaders of Common Heart, a nonprofit organization fighting food instability in Union County, said their supplies are dwindling quickly after federal officials paused the flow of millions of dollars to food banks. Trump administration officials paused several programs operated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in an effort to reduce government spending. One of the programs impacted is The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).

RALEIGH, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A bill aimed at limiting minors’ access to social media platforms is up for discussion in the North Carolina House of Representatives on Monday. The House Rules, Calendar, and Operations Committee members will consider HB 301. It’s one of several measures lawmakers considered this session concerning rules around internet usage and children. The bill would require social media platforms to purge accounts run by people younger than 14 years old.
