By Joe KorkowskiWhether gathered at Williams Arena celebrating a Cardinal State Tournament victory or something as simple as sharing a meal, people thrive on community. In my new role at The Church of St. Mary, I get to see a lot of church and community events from start to finish. By Joe KorkowskiGrowing up in the 70ss and 80s, I caught my fair share of episodes of Gilligan’s Island, Brady Bunch, and Fantasy Island. When I hear the words “Exciting and New” I can’t help but hum the theme song from Love Boat — "Love,…Exciting and New…..come aboard…” you know the rest. In fact, you may be humming it right now. In Alexandria, there never seems to be an end to exciting and new. Last week I attended Wake-Up Alexandria at Alexandria Martial Arts and Movement.
