    (Alexandria, MN)--The weather didn't cooperate for the Red Willow Art Coalition's concert Thursday night on the Douglas County Courthouse lawn. Organizers were hoping the rain would come to an end for the Meire Grove Band to be able to perform. However, drizzle continued into the early evening. Next Thursday night it will be a 57 Chevy reunion. Then on Friday night it will be their Special Patriotic Concert on July 4th with Nathan's Old Time Band.

    (Alexandria, MN)--The Vikingland Band Festival Parade is this Sunday starting at 1:30 p.m. along Broadway in Alexandria. The Alexandria Police Department says that Broadway St. will be closed from 3rd Ave. to 18th Ave. between 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. for the band parade. Police say to use Fillmore St. and Nokomis St. to get around the parade route.

    (St. Paul, MN)--The motorcycle season is off to a good start in Minnesota this summer. State motorcycle safety coordinator Jay Bock says they're seeing fewer deadly crashes," but even one is too many. Bock say we currently have 15 fatalities in the state. Last year there were 24 fatalities at this time. He says any "fatality is a problem and I'm not encouraged by the fact that there's been some fatalities."Officials say the worst months for motorcycle fatalities is July and August in Minnesota.
