MACON — They tried to break a kazooing world record here Friday night. If you think that sounds unusual, you should have heard them. Imagine an ocean of wild ducks. Or many, many flies in your ears. Someone spoke of a cicada invasion. At least one person brought ear plugs. An 80-year-old man threatened to turn off his hearing aids.

Sam Nunn or ABC News journalist Deborah Roberts, who both grew up in Perry, to pop in when they're in town.

The image was eye-grabbing. A young Augustan atop a Helene-felled tree’s chainsawed stump, hitting a golf ball half a mile from the Masters’ manicured greens. Here's the story behind the @ajc photograph: https://t.co/bJp9bwkkUH
