OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - A Heat Advisory sticks around through at least Monday, with heat index values soaring past 100 degrees and sticky dewpoints in the 70s making it feel downright miserable. Tonight won’t offer much relief, either, with gusty winds over 30 mph sweeping through. By early next week, the weather shifts again toward stormy skies. Starting Monday, we’ll see a stretch of unsettled weather, with daily chances for thunderstorms, some of which could turn severe.

OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - After the rainfall ends today, we can enjoy the dry and pleasant weather through most of Memorial Day. It’s a great time to be outside. Don’t get too comfortable, because a more active pattern is expected to return Monday night, bringing the next chance of rain. This chance lingers into Tuesday. Cooler-than-usual temperatures will stick around through the middle of the week. By the end of the week, we’ll be nearing 80 degrees again, so warmer weather is just around the corner.
