Neighbours living on a country lane in Nottinghamshire say they are becoming 'annoyed' after being missed for 10 weeks in a row by binmen. The residents, who live off Nottingham Road in Woodborough, have resorted to going to the tip and burning rubbish due to the omitted collections. Amanda Turnbull, who lives with her husband at Barn Farm Cottages, said 10 collections - five black bin and five recycling - had been skipped by binmen despite being left at the side of the main road.

Police have issued an appeal after a man followed a woman and two girls around a Nottinghamshire supermarket while committing an "indecent act". Staff at Aldi in Nottingham Road, Bingham, reported the incident, which happened at around 7pm on Saturday, June 21. A warning has been issued by the fire service after a bin lorry went up in flames in Nottinghamshire because of a dumped battery. Firefighters were called to the blaze in Rufford shortly after 11:30am on Tuesday, June 24. The fire caused "severe damage" to the Veolia waste collection lorry fire, which is believed to have been caused by the incorrect disposal of a lithium-ion battery, according to Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS).

Three teenage girls have been arrested after a "nasty attack" on a vulnerable girl in a Nottingham park. The 14-year-old victim, from Bulwell, was dragged by her hair and kicked in the head during the assault in Abbotsford Drive, St Ann's at around 9pm on Thursday, June 19. The girl suffered bruises to her face, shoulders and arms and was taken to hospital after the attack, footage of which was posted on Snapchat.
