In a recent TikTok video from the NFL, the former Oregon Ducks star ranked some of his favorite things from those four places. Hawaii got the nod for Gabriel’s favorite food, while two states tied for his take on the best weather. Oregon made his list in a couple of categories as well.

With the summer travel season approaching, it might be time to plan flights and other logistics, including whether to park at the airport while you’re away. Portland International Airport, with its spiffy new terminal, offers four tiers of parking, each with different daily rates. Short-term parking costs $4 per hour, with a daily maximum of $30. The short-term garage, which offers the shortest walk to the airport terminal, has 3,750 parking spaces, including 24 electric vehicle charging stations.

The youngest orangutan at the Oregon Zoo celebrated a milestone on Sunday. Jolene the orangutan turned 3. That’s old enough to be plenty playful and a proficient climber, but the young primate still is closely attached to her mother, Kitra, and likely will remain so for another five to seven years. Jolene’s father, Bob, also is with the family of three Bornean orangutans at the zoo. See Jolene at play in the video above.

The Dallas Wings selected UConn star Paige Bueckers with the No. 1 pick in the WNBA draft on Monday. There was little suspense as Bueckers was widely expected to be the No. 1 selection just days after her Huskies won the national championship. “Just an overwhelming sense of gratitude,” Bueckers said on the ESPN broadcast of the draft. “It’s super surreal.”Bueckers became emotional while talking about what her UConn teammates have meant to her.

The Portland Pilots’ run in the Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament — and their season — ended Thursday with a 71-61 quarterfinal loss at Villanova. Emme Shearer scored 17 points on 6-of-17 shooting and Trista Hull had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds for the unseeded Pilots, who were seeking their third consecutive road win in the 32-team tournament.
Turley, Arquette lead Oregon State baseball past Washington in Hillsboro

Gavin Turley and Aiva Arquette drove in two runs each to lead the Oregon State Beavers to a 5-2 victory against Washington on Tuesday night at Hillsboro Ballpark. Turley doubled down the left field line in the fifth inning to score Arquette and AJ Singer and give the fifth-ranked Beavers the lead for good in front of a sellout crowd of 4,264 at the home park of the Hillsboro Hops. Two innings later, Arquette blasted a two-run homer to give Oregon State (19-4) its final margin of victory.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.The Beavers moved up a spot to fifth in this week’s D1Baseball poll after taking two of three games from the Cal Poly Mustangs this past weekend. Oregon State has won 12 of its last 13 games and will look to add another to the win column against the Huskies, who have won three of their past four games.
