A Redding man was arrested early Sunday morning for allegedly threatening to shoot his roommates with a semi-automatic rifle. Redding Police (RPD) say the incident happened around 7:58 a.m. on Sunday, May 5, along the 2100 block of Miller Street. They arrived to find 54-year-old Jason Finck, who had reportedly threatened to kill his roommates with a semi-automatic rifle. According to RPD, Finck initially refused to leave the home, but eventually surrendered himself to police.

Garberville CHP are searching for a driver who reportedly hit, and killed, a 28-year-old person on Saturday morning. According to CHP, they received reports of a pedestrian lying down in the lanes of northbound US 101, near Piercy California at approximately 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 4. Garberville CHP arrived to the scene to find a person who, they say had been hit and killed by a vehicle. That vehicle, CHP says, did not stop after hitting the person, and did not call 911.
