For the second time in less than a year, supervisors on Wednesday could choose a new clerk and registrar of voters in Shasta County during a special meeting that will take place in Shasta Lake. The meeting, which starts at 11 a.m., is happening in the Shasta Lake City Council chamber because the county supervisors chamber is undergoing a $1.2 million audio, technical and visual upgrade that will not be finished until late May.

Two weeks after the council deadlocked on two new appointments to the Redding Planning Commission, Mayor Jack Munns will try again Tuesday.
