    The Naramata Fire Department will apply for $10,000 from the Farm Credit Canada Grant for the purchase of a new hose. The hose will meet the BC Wildfire Service specification for wildland support. As of March 1, 2023, BC Wildfire Service changed its hose requirements for wildland firefighting. The previous specifications were for a minimum 4.6 metre length to a minimum of 7.6 or 9.1 metres, meeting certain other requirements.

    The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen has authorized the expenditure of $155,006.71 for the purchase of curbside garbage carts. This funding will come from various Community Works Program (Gas Tax) Reserves Funds. The cost of purchasing the carts and starting the curbside cart program was $2,306,304.95, plus GST. In the 2025 regional district budget, the amount approved was $2,111,322. This difference represents the cost of surplus carts.
