    (KRON) — The weeks-long trial against former public correctional officer Darrell Smith, who’s accused of sexually abusing five female inmates at the now-shuttered Federal Correctional Institute Dublin in the East Bay, ended in a mistrial Monday after jurors failed to reach a verdict. Smith, known by prisoners as “Dirty Dick,” faced 15 counts of sexual abuse for crimes that allegedly occurred inside the all-women prison.

    ( KRON) - Multiple crosswalk buttons were hacked in Redwood City, Palo Alto and Menlo Park in California over the weekend to play audio mocking Big Tech CEOs Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Videos of the altered crosswalk buttons were widely shared on social media. A video obtained by NewsNation affiliate KRON shows an affected crosswalk playing one of the messages at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and El Camino Real in Redwood City.
