MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Despite its second round exit in the NCAA Tournament, the WVU women’s basketball team still had one more milestone up its sleeve. For the second straight season, the Mountaineers finished the season ranked in the final AP Top 25 poll. WVU is ranked 21st in the poll, its highest finish since 2021. It’s the first time the old gold and blue have finished ranked in back to back seasons since doing so in 2015-16 and 2016-17.
