    Limelight Carnegie Youth presented Legally Blonde The Musical this week at Carnegie Hall and the verdict is guilty of producing a spectacular show. Originally a 2007 musical with music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Neil Benjamin and a book by Heather Hatch based on the book by Amanda Brown and the MGM movie from 2001. The story surrounds young blonde Elle Woods (played by Amelie Christie) who excels at Harvard Law School to win back her boyfriend Warner (Gregor Scott).

    Opening on Thursday, the Royal Highland Show at Ingliston Showground will bring thousands of visitors to the spectacle before it closes on Sunday. When I worked at Elmwood College in Cupar it was the highlight of the year for the farming and land fraternity. As an exhibition it has developed over the years from what was initially an agricultural show.

    A full weekend of live music on stage last weekend as Lang Toun Fest kicked off in fine style with seven live performances over three days at the Esplanade venue. As the month of May ended it was a Prog Rock festival in itself as the sounds cranked up with Black Sales Collective, The Wizards Of Progg and Long Earth.
