The National (Scotland)

The National is a daily newspaper based in Scotland, owned by Newsquest, that started its journey on November 24, 2014. It was the first daily publication in Scotland to advocate for Scottish independence, emerging from the demand of Newsquest's audience following the 2014 Scottish independence referendum. The National is linked to The Herald and the Sunday Herald and has Callum Baird as its editor. Initially available only on weekdays, a Saturday edition was introduced in May 2015. The newspaper is printed in a tabloid format and can also be accessed through an online subscription.
