He was a great-grandfather to Ella, Abby, Amelia, Hayleigh and Olivia.

Ms. Sandra Marie “Sandy” Garrison, age 78, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, at her home in Rochester, Minnesota, the city where she was born on February 16, 1947, and where she spent much of her life. On August 3, 1974, Sandra married George Garrison and together they had two children, Aaron and Laurel. Sandra and George spent lots of time traveling internationally throughout the years, even living in Iran and Saudi Arabia together, before separating several years later.

Mavis Ann Lerol, 87, of Pine Island, died Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island surrounded by family. She was born on June 12, 1937, in Concord Township, Dodge County MN to Eugene and Rose (Day) Noser. She graduated from Pine Island High School. She married Frank “Bill” Avery and to this union Cindy and William were born. They resided in Santa Rosa, CA and she and Bill later divorced. Mavis, Cindy and William moved back to Minnesota in 1968.

Oct. 16, 1946 - May. 01, 2025 ROCHESTER, Minn. - Elaine L. Gustafson, 78, Rochester, Minn. died Thursday, May. 1. A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Elaine L. Gustafson on Saturday, July 12th at 10:00 am at the Rochester Covenant Church. A luncheon, catered by the Charter House Dining staff, will follow the service. Arrangements by Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home.

Joan C. Baker (née Dahnert), age 84, passed away peacefully on June 7th at her home in Eagan, Minnesota. Joan was born on March 4, 1941, in Rochester, MN. In addition to raising her two sons (her favorite job), she ran an art gallery and worked for IBM in Rochester and Advanced Energy in Ft. Collins, Colorado. She had a deep love for animals, especially her beloved dogs, and found joy in drawing and painting, particularly with watercolor.
