ROCHESTER — Although the cost of maintaining school resource officers is set to increase by more than 20%, the Rochester Police Department has told school leaders that the city will continue to split the expense with the district, as it has so far. The Rochester School Board discussed the topic Tuesday, April 22 with representatives of the police department as the two entities prepare to renew their agreement.

EYOTA, Minn. — In response to pressure on the district’s budget, Dover-Eyota Public Public Schools Superintendent Jeremy Frie has agreed to amend his recently renewed employment contract, foregoing the option for health insurance. The district's school board approved the decision Monday through a memorandum of understanding.

Raymond Terry Molde, age 77, of Menomonie passed away peacefully with complications of pneumonia with family by his side on Wednesday March 5, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Barron. Terry was born on December 6, 1947 in Rochester, MN to Raymond and Doris (Nereson) Molde. After graduation from Dover-Eyota High School, he started work in drywall construction. Terry and his brother, Monte “Tego” moved to Menomonie, WI where Terry started his own drywall business, Molde Drywall.

Theodore F, “Ted” Dunnington – RochesterTheodore Fletcher Dunnington, 90, of Rochester, MN died Friday morning, April 18, 2025, at the Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield, MN. Ted was born on October 31, 1934 in Duluth, MN to Lewis and Helen Dunnington. In 1939, his family moved to Iowa City, Iowa where his father became pastor of the First Methodist Church. Ted graduated from Iowa City High in 1952 and went on to get his Masters Degree in Engineering at the University of Iowa in 1958.
