PETERSBURG, Va. — A man was injured in a shooting in a parking lot in Petersburg on Wednesday night. Witnesses told CBS 6 Crime Insider Jon Burkett that they heard a lot of gunshots in the parking lot of Petersburg East apartments along Lakemont Drive. One man was shot and drove away from the scene. He was then involved in a crash on an Interstate 95 overpass. The severity of his injuries is not known at this time. The other driver involved in the crash suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

RICHMOND, Va. — Police are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead Saturday morning in Richmond's East End. Major Crimes detectives were called to the 2200 block of Fairfield Avenue around 7:30 a.m. for a report of a person down in the street. When officers arrived, they found a man on a sidewalk unresponsive. "He had suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene," police said.

Three people are dead and three others were injured after a mass shooting in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, according to police. The shooting happened in the area of Olde Greenwich Circle, in a townhouse complex, around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Three of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while the three others were rushed to an area hospital. The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office said there could be more than six victims.
