WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - Larry the Cable Guy is coming to Wilmington. The award-winning comedy legend will perform on Friday, April 25 at CFCC’s Wilson Center downtown. It’s one of about two dozen shows on the 2025 tour for Dan Whitney, who brought Larry to life about 30 years ago. He says the energy of performing live is still the same now as it was when he first started doing the act in the mid-1990s.

That made the invitation to be the queen for the 2025 North Carolina Azalea Festival, Wilmington’s largest annual event, even more special.

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - Jack Carr is a busy guy. Not only is the New York Times bestselling author about to release the seventh thriller featuring his character James Reece called Red Sky Mourning, the former Navy SEAL is also working on another streaming series for Amazon Prime Video. It’s a spinoff of The Terminal List, the successful 2022 series based on Carr’s debut novel, that featured Chris Pratt in the role of Reece.
