Parkinson’s Forward plans April meetingParkinson’s Forward, a support group for people living with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners, will meet on Wednesday April 16, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Senior Services, 2895 Shorefair Drive in Winston-Salem. This month's program will be a group discussion, and participants are asked to come with a specific question for others about some aspect of living with Parkinson's and/or a tip that makes living with the disease easier.

38th Annual Shepherd’s Center Used Book Sale to be heldThe Shepherd’s Center of Greater Winston-Salem will hold its 38th annual used book sale on Thursday, May 1 and Friday, May 2 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, May 3 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.. (1/2 price on all items). The book sale is one of the largest in our state! Parking and admission are free. The sale will be held in the Education Building at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds. Entrance for parking is through Gate 5 from Deacon Boulevard.
