    A man was shot and killed Wednesday morning in western Winston-Salem, authorities said. The fatal shooting happened at 2:08 a.m. at 201 Dalewood Drive, Winston-Salem police said. Officers found Jacob Riley Diehl, 20, suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot. Diehl was pronounced dead by emergency medical technicians, police said. Diehl’s next of kin has been notified of his death. Investigators said they believe that Diehl was targeted in the shooting. No arrests have been made.

    A drone show will be a new addition to the annual Rock Out the Quarry event from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday at the Quarry at Grant Park, 1790 Quarry Road. The event is free and open to the public. There will be live entertainment, food trucks and the drone show. The Quarry at Grant Park encompasses 200.34 acres, and it has an amphitheater and a stage. Parking is available at Bowman Gray Stadium with free shuttle service to and from the park.
