SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Pam Brown has lived in Orangevale for over three decades. She's concerned about speeding along her street, Main Avenue, and all over the Orangevale area. "I’m tired. I’m really, really tired," said Brown. "Emotionally, I can’t let it go. I worry about these streets." She wants the community to work together more to identify traffic issues to create change on Orangevale streets, including calling elected officials and reporting unsafe driving to law enforcement.

SACRAMENTO, Calif — Cool temperatures continue Sunday with chances for light valley showers in the first half of the day, as well as Sierra snow. A warm-up starts tomorrow, and drier weather is expected to start the week. Sunday is the last of two Weather Impact Alert days for the Sierra. A Winter Weather Advisory expires at 11 a.m. today for parts of Western Plumas County near Lassen Park and the West Slope of the Sierra Nevada. Cities include Chester, Quincy and Blue Canyon.

SACRAMENTO, Calif — Even though it's spring, we're in for a cooler-than-average weekend with chances for showers and snow in the Sierra. Valley highs will be in the low to mid-60s through the weekend. The Sierra will have highs in the upper 30s to near 40°. You may have noticed light rain this morning in the Valley. Chances for showers and thunderstorms continue today. The showers should be on and off and relatively light.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A new traffic shift in the eastbound lanes of Highway 50 in Sacramento is tentatively scheduled to go into effect the morning of Tuesday, April 22. It will span from the 59th Street off-ramp to the Howe Avenue/Power Inn Road on-ramp. Crews started work on the new alignment Monday, April 14. According to Caltrans, the shift is needed to rehabilitate the pavement in the far left lanes of eastbound Highway 50.

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — If you drive along Business 80 through the Arden-Arcade area in Sacramento, your commute could look a little different tomorrow. On Friday, you may notice a new shift for southbound traffic starting near Exposition Boulevard. It’s all part of the American River Bridge Rehabilitation Project. Sergio Ochoa Sánchez with Caltrans says the transition should be smooth as you drive through this area.
