A goat on the lam in Fort Washington, Maryland, has been walking through yards, munching on grass and evading animal control for weeks. "He can't be caught," resident Jeffrey Herbert said Monday. "Somebody owns him. They need to come get him."Herbert lovingly nicknamed the wily animal Billy the GOAT - as in "greatest of all time.""We see sightings, mostly this time of the morning. As temperatures rise, crews are racing to get the power back on for Montgomery County residents after Thursday's severe thunderstorms knocked down trees, crushed cars and cut power to thousands. There are still many customers with no service, and that means no air conditioning. Even some busy traffic intersections have no working traffic lights, including Massachusetts Avenue in Bethesda.

Ever wondered what it’s like to police the Metro system? @MetroTransitPD is accepting applications for its “community police academy” which includes a ride-along w/ an officer. The academy is free + you receive a certificate upon completion @nbcwashington https://t.co/Otb9KbFC9y

It WORKS! For the first time ever on the DC Metro system, you can tap a credit card at a faregate to enter a 🚇 station (SmarTrip cards aren’t going away - you can still reload & use them. This is just a new “tap ride go” option, similar to NYC subway) @nbcwashington https://t.co/hDGz4HR559

Does this look like your average Metro station entrance?! MD gov’t & transit leaders are revealing new renderings- showing what the North Bethesda Metro stop will look like in the next few years. The rendering shows a new life science building/station entrance @nbcwashington https://t.co/YCE5xiLnMq
