SAN FRANCISCO (WISH) — Fever head coach Stephanie White will not coach in Thursday’s game against the Golden State Valkyries due to personal reasons. Assistant coach Austin Kelly will serve as the acting head coach. This is the second game this season that White has missed due to personal reasons. She missed the Fever’s game against the Chicago Sky on Saturday, June 7, which the Fever won, 79-52. Kelly filled in as the acting head coach in that game as well.

OKLAHOMA CITY (WISH) — The Pacers lost to the Thunder, 120-109, in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. The Thunder now lead the series 3-2. The Pacers cut the Thunder’s lead to two points with eight minutes left in the fourth quarter, but were never able to tie or take the lead. The Thunder went on a 10-0 run later in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach. The Pacers trailed 59-45 at halftime. Game 6 is scheduled for Thursday at 8:30 p.m. in Indianapolis. OKLAHOMA CITY (WISH) — Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton is dealing with right calf tightness during Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Thunder, per ESPN’s Shams Charania. Haliburton was seen with his lower leg wrapped up. He scored zero points in the first half of Game 5, the first time in his playoff career that he was held scoreless in the first half. He was in and out of the game in the first half, playing a total of 17 minutes.

OKLAHOMA CITY (WISH) — The Pacers trail the Thunder 59-45 at halftime of Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Turnovers were an issue for the Pacers. They turned it over 11 times, leading to 15 Thunder points. The Thunder led by as many as 18 points. The Pacers shot 33.3% from the field and 31.3% from three. The Thunder shot 43.5% from the field and 47.1% from three. The series is tied 2-2.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) — Serbian guard Aleksa Ristic has committed to IU, per his Instagram. Ristic will join the team for the 2025-26 season. He is the 12th scholarship player on the roster. Ristic, who is 6-foot-4, averaged 13.8 points, 4.2 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game in the 2024-25 season, playing for KK Dynamic in the top league in Serbia. He shot 38.6% from three. He has played for Serbia on their U20 team, averaging 9.4 points per game and shot 41% from three.
