Here are the names and faces of the men and women judges have put behind bars in April 2025. Kara Alexander, 47, of Cornwallis Road in Dagenham, murdered her two young sons in the bath. She drowned Elijah Thomas, two, and Marley Thomas, five, in December 2022. The bodies of the two children were found by their dad in their shared bunkbed inside their home. Following the discovery, Alexander ran from the house, but was arrested nearby a short time later.

The Staffie owner appeared in court on Thursday, May 1, to plead guilty to being the owner of a dog which was dangerously out of control and caused injury.

He sexually assaulted five women in the space of three weeks, each time quickly approaching the women from behind and grabbing their bottoms before cycling off.

Vincent Thompson, pictured, was pronounced dead after he was found on Main Road, Biggin Hill, by an off-duty police officer (Image: Supplied) A 19-year-old driver is charged with causing the death of a 17-year-old in Biggin Hill. Vincent Thompson and another teenager were found injured by an off-duty police officer after a motorbike crash on Main Road on June 9 last year. Vincent, described by his mum as “the best son anyone could ask for”, died at the scene.

Steven Ellis has been jailed for four months (Image: Met Police) A man has been jailed for attacking a woman outside Tesco in Hornchurch. Steven Ellis, 48, of Dunton Road in Romford, carried out the assault on Sunday, April 27. He appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court the following day where he pleaded guilty to assault and breaching a criminal behaviour order (CBO). The three-year CBO was given to Ellis last June in relation to his shoplifting in the town centre.
