(WBRE/WYOU)— A weak cold front will trigger a couple of showers and thunderstorms tonight. IF a storm can become strong, gusty winds are possible. Otherwise, heavy downpours will be the main threat. A frontal boundary will stall across Pennsylvania on Friday and Saturday. As disturbances move along this boundary, showers and thunderstorms will develop and move across the region Friday afternoon and evening.

(WBRE/WYOU) — A frontal boundary may stall across Pennsylvania this Saturday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms could continue on Saturday. We can expect them to be in the area in the morning, but they should taper off in the afternoon. Saturday’s highs will be in the mid-70s. We may get a little break from the rain Saturday night and Sunday morning. Then, the next disturbance in the lineup will approach with more showers, and perhaps a thunderstorm, Sunday afternoon and evening.

(WBRE/WYOU) — A winter storm will move across the Northeast this weekend. Once again, we’re expecting a “mixed bag” across central and northeastern Pennsylvania. Snow will develop on Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. For the most part, 2-4″ will accumulate prior to the changeover to a wintry mix in the evening. Highs on Saturday will be in the lower and middle 30s, but that will likely happen in the evening.

(WBRE/WYOU) — On Tuesday, you can expect scattered snow showers with the potential of a morning snow squall. An Arctic front could bring increasing clouds Monday night and help to keep the wind gusty. Lows will be in the middle 20s. As the Arctic front moves across the region Tuesday morning, you can expect scattered snow showers with the potential of a morning snow squall. Remember, a snow squall is like a summer thunderstorm.
