The problem surfaced last week at West Hazleton Elementary-Middle School. Evidence of rodents and insects was found in dry storage and food prep areas. Officials say the Wilkes-Barre City Fire Department was called shortly after 1:15 p.m. to the intersection of George Avenue and Trethaway Street in the Parsons Section of Wilkes-Barre for a reported incident involving an excavator.
