    HARRISBURG, DAUPHIN COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man is in custody as Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) are investigating what they call “an act of arson” at the home of Governor Josh Shapiro early Sunday morning. PSP and the Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo have confirmed that they have arrested 38-year-old Cody Balmer from Harrisburg in connection with the arson.

    BUTLER TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A Connecticut man is dead after a fatal hit and run took place on Interstate 80 Friday afternoon. The release states that a 53-year-old man from Hartford, Connecticut is dead after a fatal hit and run crash occurred near mile marker 257 at around 2:30 p.m.According to PennDOT, the closure was in the eastbound lanes between Exit 256: PA 93 – Nescopeck/Conyngham and Exit 260A: I-81 South – Harrisburg, but has since been reopened.

    SAINT CLAIR, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) say two people are in custody while two others are still at large after an officer-involved shooting across multiple counties. In a release, PSP says at about 12:40 p.m., a driver traveling North on Interstate 81 near mile marker 57.1 in Silver Spring Township, Cumberland County, saw a passenger in a red Toyota Trundra pointing a firearm at other drivers.
