A suspected drug dealer caught in a drug probe now sits in the Madison County Jail with a more than $1 million bond. Robert Young, 39, faces charges of trafficking methamphetamine and trafficking fentanyl. He’s also expected to face a trafficking cocaine charge from Morgan County and an additional trafficking fentanyl charge from Limestone County, according to the Huntsville Police Department.

A DeKalb County man arrested Monday on 10 counts related to child pornography. Charles William Langley Jr., 26, of Sylvania faces eight charges of possession of obscene material involving a minor with intent to distribute and two counts of public display of obscene material. According to court documents, Langley possessed and shared a video of a child being raped. He’s being held in the DeKalb County Jail without bond. Download our WAAY 31 News and Weather apps.

A suspected gun thief who led Florence Police on a chase now spending time in the Lauderdale County Jail. It all began Tuesday when Florence Police say they were alerted to a hold-up alarm at a licensed firearms dealer in the 100 block of West Mobile Street. Police said a man fled the store, stealing a firearm in the process. A witness described the offender and his vehicle. An officer later located the suspect vehicle traveling west on Veterans Drive.

Two Morgan County Jail corrections officers are back at work after authorities say a murder suspect tried to kill them. According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, inmate Earl Eugene Bates Jr. refused to return to his cell Saturday as ordered by officers. Bates is accused of attacking two of them with a shank, striking both in the face and neck. The officers used pepper spray to control Bates and take him into custody.
