As the officer approached the vehicle, which was occupied by a male driver and female passenger, police say the driver fled and initiated a chase that proceeded southbound on Interstate 65.

According to police, he is employed by the Etowah County Board of Education. Police say they were initially contacted about a sexual assault on Thursday. During the investigation, police say the 14-year-old female victim identified Brock as the suspect.
